State Fair Galore

We just got back from the Illinois State Fair in Springfield and this year, the kids & I came in tow with Scott and the cows. We opted not to spend the night with the cows in the barns and parked ourselves in a nearby hotel, which worked out wonderFULLY.

These Jersey kids fully enjoyed themselves at the 2008 Illinois State Fair. Temperatures were perfect, low 80's/high 70's, which is considered a true blessing to this Jersey mama, especially since most IL State Fair the temps are in the mid 90's+.

My kids don't pack lightly, towing along trikes, wagons and toys galore, which came in really handy with all the other Illinois Jersey children. We should call it camp Jersey or something in that regards as the Jersey kids easily entertained themselves. It was a site to be seen, the cows didn't seem to mind these kids riding their bikes up and down the aisles, breaking only for snacks or a quick dash to the bathroom. They hitched up their Radio Flyer wagons to their trikes and towed kids, including Cassie. The giggles were heard for miles (and occasionally screams when they couldn't seem to share). Awe, these will be the memories I remember for a long time to come.

These Jersey kids are tuckered OUT! Went to bed at 830PM last night and woke up at 1030AM. And, now back down for naps again. Tyler can't wait for next year. He has a new BFF, and he is a Jersey cowboy through and through and easily found a special place in Tyler's heart.
xoxo!

Looks like you all had fun...even mom taking pics of all of the happenings! You were way prepared to entertain those kids-or have them entertain themselves. I never would have thought of all of those toys at the fair. Kudos to you!
PS Noah is having another speech appointment on Fri!
