Go KICKERS!

Tyler started soccer this week at the local Y. He couldn't of been more excited about the whole ordeal. Getting his shin guards, his very own soccer ball and being on the red team, which is called the "kickers."

He isn't the best player, but he isn't the worse either. His coach says he has a great kick and if he can learn to have his listening ears on and not take his shoes off on the field, he might even get to play a game or two.

So the next eight weeks, you can find this Bohnert clan at the YMCA for soccer practice and games! What have I got ourselves into? HA!

What a good kick!

Cassie is content with eating snacks during Ty's practices!

Of course, the highlight for Tyler would be the "super cool" playground that is next to the soccer field.

Chore Time

FINALLY, this past weekend the weather broke and the kids were able to head to the farm. Dad loved havin' the extra set of hands to help with chores and the kids didn't mind gettin' dirty!

Its an overwhelming experience watching your kids grow up and want to work hard. As many of you have commented, Tyler is a smittin' image of his father--in many ways. AND...the two men know how to WORK HARD. Tyler would look & see what needed to be done and took the initiative to get 'r done. He went over to the baby calves and said "I need to feed 'em hay mom!"

And, I watched with tearful eyes, as my soon-to-be 4 year old, took the tarp and tires off the hay bales, picked up slabs of hay and fed them to the calves. When he was done, he put the tarp and hires back over the hay to cover it up. Then, he said, I need to check and see if they need grain. I was so impressed with his work ethic at such a young age.

Next, the Jersey kids get to work!

Cassie examines the grain for the cows.

Carnival FUN

Tyler's school hosted a carnival last Friday night. What a great excuse to get the family out of the house! Tyler was excited about this for a week. We had to wait for Dad (he had to pull a calf) and Tyler's patience was wearing thin! Thankfully, Dad made it home and us four-some headed to town for a fun-nite!

GONE Fishin' for prizes!

Tyler aims for a strike!

Next up, GOLF! I don't think we have another Tiger Woods on our hand.

DON'T be alarmed! Mom & Tyler model our carnival prizes, fake teeth. (FYI, these are 'super cool mean teeth mom!"
