My BIG graduate

Today we celebrate!
Tyler graduated from speech & language with flying colors. After 2 1/2 years of hard work of grammar, articulation, vocabulary and working on sounds, Tyler has "mastered" it all. I couldn't be prouder!

I always believed in Tyler! We worked hard together, first with early learning and speech, then with two full years of pre-K language and speech class. Tyler picked up ground quickly and was leading the pack for the last year or so. He was like the teacher, telling his classmates, "the f sound is a blowing sound." Then he would tell the group, say "ffffrog," "fffruitloop," "fffive", "ffffiretruck." The teachers loved his passion and assistance.
His speech teachers fell in love with him. His deep brown eyes warmed their hearts, but his ability to work hard, focus and continue to persevere inspired them.

Today they had a big party for Tyler, as he graduated speech and language. Along with cookies and stickers, they played some of Tyler's favorite games and did speech bingo. The day ended with Tyler receiving his diploma and I for one, couldn't be more proud!

Way to go Tyler! No fret, we celebrated in good fashion, letting the young lad pick the restaurant of his choice (Culvers!) and order what he wanted (he said, "mom this is going to cost you big!") and I didn't mind paying the check for this one! Cheeseburger & custards on me!
Way to go Tyler. We are so excited and so proud of you. AND...if you didn't know, he is "ready to go to kindergarten." I hear about it daily. He tells Cassie she isn't ready because to go to kindergarten, you have to "write your name, not your last, its okay to write Tyler B." and you need to know "all of your ABCS, count to 45, all your shapes and you cant have any accidents in the bathroom." Cassie was like, "I'll be ready for kindergarten in five minutes Tyler." Ha! Love these lil' Jersey kids!

Classic Cassie

The youngest member of the Jersey team is a CHARACTER to say the least. Laundry in this household has increase three folds by Cassie's need to change clothes throughout the day. Mind you we are in winter and sometimes her ability to keep clothes on is a problem! She insist that she dress and undress herself! And her favorite accessory hands down is her mix-match socks: Dora and Zoe! Love 'em! Love her!
xoxo!

Happy Birthday Gracie!

Our lil' "ladybug" friend is now one! Where does the time go? It just seemed like yesterday that we welcomed Grace Bohnert into the world. Awe, happy first birthday Gracie. We had so much fun celebrating her b-day bash today. Can't wait for our next play date!

The Birthday girl: Grace Bohnert

Cassie loves Grace's mom: Stephanie!

Tyler & Cassie open Grace's presents. Who is more excited? The birthday girl or Cassie?

Cassie eyes one of Grace's b-day presents! Just what we need more of...babies!

Tub Time; Jersey Style

Bath time at our house is always filled with giggles! The Jersey kids are gettin' too big to take a bath together....but it's so much easier (and quicker) for this mama! A few quick snapshots that I had to chuckle at. Love the kids expressions; esp. Cassie.

Artic Chill

Record low temperatures hit the Quad Cities. Nothing to brag about by any means, but you don't know what COLD is until its -28 with wind chills of -40! The forecasters were comparing our temperatures to places like Juneau, Alaska; the North & South Pole and Siberia. Thankfully, we are warming up! Thermometer is reading 22 and we feel like its a heat wave!
The crew at the farm have piled on the clothes and not really sported smiles as they chore. All was well until this morning when a underground manure pipe broke. Eeeew. Why don't we dairy in San Diego or Hawaii??? God, only knows!

Quick Bug?!

After a long night of the lil' Jersey girl tummy hurting, we spent the morning watching requests of her fave movies...Stewart Little and Strawberry Shortcake! I'm glad to see Cassie sportin' a smile and finally feeling better.
