Flash Back

Cute blog games Miss. Elizabeth. At first I was wondering if I could find the 7th blog photo I posted, but no worries, K came through in good fashion! The title was rooster hair and I believe that Cassie is the queen of rooster hair these days. She has so much hair!!! Beautiful as it is, I can understand why mother Michelle cut my hair short at one point. I ask her every morning, pigs or pony and of course, she always says pony...I think because she knows it takes less time!

The date was May 2007 and my life is probably more hectic now than then. Cassie was 11 months and not walking and maybe just starting to crawl?! I tend to forget, but regardless my life was much easier! Now, Miss. Cassandra Ann is everywhere and loves to "giddy up horsey" all over the living room or "jump like a hop". Awe, the good ol' times! Thanks for the walk down memory lane E!

Pumpkin Patch "08

Luckily, this year, the Jersey kids towed dad along to the pumpkin patch, as corn isn't ready to pick yet! I love fall, especially when you have 80 degrees in October! You just can't beat that, can ya?

The kids were all smiles! Tyler, the ol' pro he is, was our tour guide, since just last week he made his way to the pumpkin patch for his pre-school's field trip. He was so excited to show us around...and Cassie tried to keep up with the boys!

I took too many pictures to post! That's generally the case, but today was a photographers dream...fall colors, cute kids, and scenery galore!
Tyler checks out the goats!
Next, the tour guide tows Cassie along out to see the pumpkins!
The Jersey family finds pumpkins!
Ty & Scott find a few small pumpkins!
While Cassie picks large ones that Scott ends up carrying!
Cassie examines her pumpkin to make sure she has got a winner!
Cassie can't resist picking a pretty PINK flower!
While Tyler checks out the corn maze! Which by the way, he is a pro at!
and yes, Cassie is stretching out a 'lil!

Park Play!

On Sunday afternoon, the four of us headed over to the park, per the request of the Jersey kids! We've found one that is close and hard to beat, with an amazing play area to please all ages! Needless to say, with the help of the parting of the clouds, after a rainy morning, this Jersey family grinned ear to ear with outdoor play at an East Moline park!
Miss Cassie Ann steers...
...while Tyler makes a new friend, Dilan.
Tyler loves to swing high!
...and Cassie loves the slide. I love the static hair and the big smile!

Pretty Girl III

Miss Cassandra Ann Bohnert is not only two-years-old, but she is full of life! It simply amazes me how much energy and excitement and charisma that she has in her two-year-old lil' body! She is passionate, dramatic, lovable and hilarious! Oh, and a chatter-box! I'm sure her major will be Communications...she is constantly talking, singing, laughing and I for one, love it! She knows more than most her age (okay, I'm biased!) but she will tell you "My name is Cassie Bohnert" and "my daddy milks Jersey cows" and "milk comes from Jersey cows" and "I'm a princess" and "I love babies" and "I love Tyler, he is a big boy." The list could go on and on and on. She is a typical two-year-old, has her melt downs, which by the way, seem to last longer or at least shed more tears than Tyler was at that age. She is learning her ABC's, can recite most of 'em, can sing Merry Had a Little Lamb and The Wheels on the Bus really well. Potty-training is coming at a quicker rate than Tyler (I don't wanna jinx this!) and when it comes to getting dressed in the morning, well, you'd better have patience because she has an opinion at to what she should wear! Thankfully, she has great taste! :) Awe, we adore Cassie Ann. She is such a pretty girl...and today, we trucked over to Swiss Valley and everyone fell in love with her, were amazed at how much she has grown and loved her stickin' cute outfit...and boots (that still fit!)
Always a fun expression on this girl's face!
...always dramatic!
...and for the most part, always smiling!

Pause

After a whirlwind trip near west Chicago and then up to Madison for World Dairy Expo, this Bohnert family is glad to be HOME!! I love Expo time. Run into ol' friends who you only see once a year, the dairy people and cows galore and oh the cheese! Awe, the family time is always what this family needs!!! Of course, the Jersey kids enjoyed the trip too...but were wore out and enjoyed a moment to pause to take it easy when they returned home!
Jams & lounge chairs are just what these Jersey kids needed!
Oh...and your cell phone to catch up on the latest news!
...and the new fam favorite, Dora the Explorer!
