NO NAP

My sweet lil' daughter assured me she DID NOT WANT TO NAP nor NEEDED a nap. AND...for whatever reason I was okay with it, I figured go with the flow, no big deal. She wasn't cranky, but an hour after not wanting to go down for a nap, she was found here, ready to sleep on the stairs. (NOTE: since it was sub-zero temps again today, I didn't make the kids get out of their pjs!)

SO, while her brother napped....we dressed up, tried on tons of outfits, which was so fun. I must of wore her out because about an hour after playing dress up...she fell asleep, while I cooked dinner (yes, the hi-chair is still in the kitchen, that another story, for another time!)

The Winter Look

I guess this look that my hubby is sporting is growing on me. He assures me that whenever our temps decide to break freezing, he'll pull out the razor.

Welcome Gracie

What a beautiful family! Awe! Makes me realize just how precious life is. This is lil' Grace Marie, who arrived on Monday 1/7/08 with her parents Brandon (Scott's cousin) and Stephanie Bohnert. Congratulations, we couldn't be any happier for you!

18 months later...

How can it be that my sweet lil' daughter is already 18 months old? She went in today for her 18-month check-up and weighed in at 27 lbs and 32.5 inches tall (75th percentile for both). She wasn't too thrilled to see the dr.; shots made her cry; but after it was all said & done...she said bye to the nurses and life, as she knows it...is back to the same o' life!

She continues to add words to her vocabulary and already showing some interest in potty-training (no push since day-care wont train until they are 2). Life at 18th Avenue Ct...is still a pure craziness (who gets to play with the legos...oh lets chase the cat up the stairs, down the stairs, and lets see how much toilet paper can go into the toilet, oh get that crayon out of your mouth, cat liter stays in the liter box Cassie and the list goes on, I'm afraid!). I don't think I know how to react if it was anything else than crazy.

And, my 31-year old hubby, love him unconditionally, he's the best...but more times than not, he is the third kid in the household. "Dad's super cool," Tyler reports. That he is!

Happy 18 months Miss. Cassie Ann. We love you...your laugh, your silly looks, your sweet kisses and I can do anything attitude. How did we luck out with such a beautiful, bright, baby girl? I don't know, but I count my lucky stars that she is apart of it.
xoxo!

My main man...

He still makes my heart melt with his big, brown eyes and lovable soul. (Even though he's thinkin' if you take one more picture mom....I'll....) Ha!

Fresh AIR

FINALLY...big smiles because this lil' Jersey girl gets to go outdoors. We were wondering if we'd ever escape the indoor setting that has cooped us up TOO long. The temps finally warmed up & the snow melted as we went from -20 temps to 60. We'll take sunshine & 60 degrees in January. The mud isn't stoppin' us.
